As we all know one of the best and hardest diss tracks in rap history is 2 Pacs Hit em up.

2 Pac and Biggie went from being friends to foes after 2 Pac was assaulted in New York resulting in him getting shot and hospitilised. 2 Pac felt Biggie had something to do it with it since it was his city and happened in a studio Biggie was affiliated with.

I think 2 Pacs assumption is fair that when a guy takes you to his "area" he should be able to look after you. Biggie saying he didnt know what happened would either make anyone angry thinking his fake or suspicious.

This led to 2 Pac creating was of the most scathing and scolding diss tracks in history. But what also made it worse was certain props if you will, around the song.

The video was clean and the beat sampled Biggies hit song Get Money. Genius then and even more genius now not many diss tracks come close but Nas Ether against Jay Z comes to mind.

But the coup de etat if you will was 2 Pacs bold admission that he had relations with Biggies then wife Faith Evans. Many were confused and not sure what to believe. BUT then pictures surfaced of Faith Evans and Pac together DURING the beef. (THIS IS BEFORE SOCIAL MEDIA WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME!! SOMEONE HAD TO GO TO THE STORE AND DEVELOP THR FILM HAHA)

That sealed the nail in the coffin and made Pac more notorius than the notorius BIG himself. In my opinion either way you look at that its betrayal. The fact that the meeting place was in a hotel made it even more ominous.

Pac won on that basis. Kind of like Samson and Delila but in hip hop Biggie was Samson lol. His still great but that was an L. Faith still denies anything happened. But what we know you going to see your mans nemesis at the height of their beef happened, so to have the level comfort they had in that situation before the tragedies that would take place, is snakeish on Faiths part.
